I think the maximum weight used by the ancient Greeks was 50 lbs, more than that was considered dangerous.
why?
you are supposed to do 100 “between the leg” swings.
A solid hundred; no joke, you have to slowly build up to it.
wish I could track down an ancient Greek training manual, I would use it rather than this “advice.”
