If any of you are in reasonably good shape and a male, then 16 kg is the starting weight you should use. If you’re not reasonably fit go lighter, such as a 12kg or an 8kg. Oh, and also look into kettlbell resources on proper form for these things, because they can seriously mess you up if you don’t know how to use them right. A certified kettlebell instructor is a good idea too because they can pick up on errors you’re making in your form that you would otherwise miss.
@47burgleflickle I would like to hear more from an expert rather than put him down. please consider describing your alternative 6 minute kettlebell routine with or without example videos. I will consider it thoughtfully
Great video. Just got into kettlebells not long ago and this is one of my favourite workouts.
For beginners like me, I do the whole workout twice with a rest in between. This way I use a lighter weight and can work on technique
New to kettlebells, and found this great. Just know I’m going to feel it tomorrow! Jyst wondering, is 8kg too much for a reasonably fit woman??? Don’t want to build muscle – just tone up.
i love this routine.. i do it almost daily.. i began doing it with a 20lb bell and my first time i could only do 4minutes.. and now im doing it with a 30lb and im waiting on a 45lb bell in the near future.. btw i have only been doing this starting on my 3rd month… absolutely great,, everyone i tell about the kettlebells i challenge them to do this routine..
Because while all of those things increase muscle strength, they lack the ability to increase joint strength (which kettlebells excel in doing). This is becasues of the offset weight distribution, which barbells and dumbells lack. Cardio is added to the equation as well. Kettlebells are also alot easier to transport and store.
Welcome to kbelling! No other exercise will give you physical strength, flexibility and cardio like kbells. When you kbell using the Tabata protocol of 20 sec of hard work and 10 sec rest, you put your body in such an oxygen debt that you will burn fat at an amazing pace.
Intense! This is exactly how I like my workouts to be short and intense! In my MMA camp we always do tabata at the end of the conditioning classes, it’s very tough, but after completing the workout it’s the most rewarding feeling ever.
mahalo for your video, man. excellent choice of music… RATM kicks ass… thanx for the fast curcuit…

What size is that bell?
Theres a workout called Viking Conditioning, all snatches, 15 secs. on 15 secs. off. Look into it, it gets rough. Altimate goal is 80 sets.
