I Need a Good Conditioning Workout To Tone Up For The Summer

Again, it looks like many of you really want to tone up for the summer beach body :-) Here is a question I got:

“My new years resolution was to firm and tone my butt, thighs, and abs…(of course, thats most people’s resolution) but i plan on sticking it out. i need ideas for a good routine to follow at the gym after school every day. any suggestions?”

Short Answer for a Long Question:

To achieve your desired results, you need to get your body to burn fat. Therefore you need to increase your metabolic rate. You can do  that by following Low GI lifestyle with cardio and weight exercises. I believe that running, pilates or kettlebels exercises should be great to burn fat and tone your muscles. If you want to take it to the next level, after you get used to the easier body weight exercises, you should incorporate lifting lighter weight with higher repetitions. I prefer like 12-20 repetition and about 3 sets.
