soon i hope to be able to do that. as soon as I start to move I have to start all over again. sucks trying to get in a timed jump set.

  • genocide98:

Yes. You only move the rope sparingly unless you’re doing some fancy tricks, which means you’ll move your arms slightly…

In fact if someone teaches you how to jump rope they often times get you to make the motions without the rope in order to get them down before you begin.

ropes aren’t expensive though, and you can literally make one out of a length of rope, rubber, or plastic. My friend was too broke to afford one so he made a rope out of braided twine.. lol

    that was siome amazing jumproping

  • Paulatshs:

I would assume a little bit less than twice your body length. I’m 6 ft so I would want a 10-11 ft rope know what I mean?

    whatever feels comfy

  • chrisLwantslumpia:

step in the middle with both or one foot?

  • 300MUSIC:

i dont think i would dare jump rope in there.lol. id have a feeling i would hit the mirror

  • leefost:

the rope gives you a rythym and a distraction from a mundane task. focusing on your rythym is a good way too push yourself when feeling tired and achieveing that extra 10-20%

  • simba00784:

  • xXgirl4lifeXx:

will i lose fat on my stomach if i do this eryday

  • NGCasualty:

why? a good rope costs €15

  • atkins316:

do it in the backyard or front yard, if you are worried about people whatching you who cares? atleast you are getting excercise.

  • wiweq:

Coorect, jump rope sustains the motion and required strength. If you dont use rope, you don’t know how much energy you have to put. Skipping is not so easy.

  • exploreryen:

No, I think it is more intense workout with the rope(wrist movement).

  • PelayoBoxing:

Virtually yes, it will have the same effect. However you will just look kind of out of place if your jump roping without a jump rope. But when people first learn to jump rope they do it without the rope. It kind of gives you the feel for it like shadow boxing does. Also with a jump rope you get greater resistance and skill and a better workout for your wrists. Do one or the other, they both are great for the body!

  • ErdisCai666:

Does jumping rope help a lot with your abs?

  • 122092aka:

no it wont, eventualy youll start to fatigue and may not realize that your only going at 50% were as the rope will make you stay at 100%

  • Dandeluxe87:

9 foot (recommended for those under 6 feet) and 10 foot lengths (recommended for those over 6 feet)

  • dayusdaus:

i dont have space for rope jumping

  • DestinedTu187:

damn u got some crazy arms, wat exercises u do man?

  • thelaurels13:

When you stretch the rope it should reach your chest if it goes above your chest then obviously it’s too long and will need adjusting accordingly. The best ones to buy are the real sports ones that you can adjust like Nike ones or Reebok.

  • specharacter:

it wont because there’s resistance given by the rope that makes it harder
